With deep sadness the family of Eileen Wilke announces her peaceful passing on January 20, 2026, at the age of 84. Left to mourn her are her daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Len Beasse, son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Isabelle Wilke, granddaughter and grandson-in-law Nicole Beasse and Jean-Pierre Deniset, grandson Ryan Beasse, great-grandchildren Louis and Rosalie Deniset, and her many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life, Roy Wilke, her daughter Susan Wilke, her parents Edward and Rose Wenzoski, and brother and sister-in-law Keith and Marilyn Wenzoski.
Eileen was born and raised in Tyndall, Manitoba. Roy moved to town as a teenager and wooed her by singing Elvis Presley songs to her at the school talent show. After marriage they moved first to Selkirk and then settled in Winnipeg where they raised their family.
Eileen and Roy loved to travel. They were prone to escaping the cold Winnipeg winters in Magic Valley, Texas. They also loved summers at their cottage in Pointe du Bois fishing, playing cards and listening to music.
Eileen was independent, self-possessed, extremely generous and unfailingly kind. Her family will miss her terribly.
Her family would like to thank the staff and medical professionals at Victoria Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Cavers and Dr. Adam, as well as her long-time doctor, Dr. Kevin Coates. In keeping with Eileen's expressed wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
